ATOMIC HABITS
I read this book for the first time and it made my life change for the better. “ Atomic habits” is a book by James Clear that focuses on the power of small changes and how they can lead to significant improvements in our lives. The central idea is that habits are the compound interest of self- improvement; just as money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them over time.
Atomic habits often revolve around the idea of incremental change and power of consistency.
Fitness Journey: Many people start with small manageable workouts, like a 10 mins daily walk or a few pushups. Overtime, these small efforts compound, leading to significant intensity or duration, and individuals can build a sustainable exercise habit.
Healthy eating: instead of overhauling their diet overnight, a person might start by adding one healthy meal per day or swapping out sugary snacks for fruits. These minor adjustments can lead to a healthier lifestyle over time.
The book also discusses the importance of identity in habit formation, suggesting that focusing on who you want to become rather than just what you want to achieve can lead to more sustainable change.
Love the blog concept! I like how you are using a book that you have actually read to explain the meaning of what you are trying to connect with. You want your audience to understand what the meaning of "self care" is and it really speaks through your blog. You are doing a great job keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI think you highlighted the connection between small actions and long-term growth, perfectly with the book. The examples you gave, like starting with just a 10-minute walk or making one healthy food swap, really show how approachable habit-building can be.
